About Us

As former basketball players and passionate advocates for grassroots sport, we were naturally drawn to invest in Young Ballerz Basketball. Basketball opportunities for young children in the UK are still limited, and we believe strongly in nurturing talent and confidence from an early age. Our four-year-old son attends Young Ballerz Basketball, and the boost we’ve seen in his confidence and enjoyment has been a powerful motivator that we want to help bring to more children and families.

What stood out about Young Ballerz Basketball is their approach: they strike the perfect balance of fun, friendly competition without placing too much pressure on young kids, as a husband-and-wife duo who met while playing basketball at university. Rebecca has represented England at the under-18 level and Great Britain at the under-20 level, as well as winning both the National League and Playoffs in Women’s Division One. Bobby has competed in the Men’s Division 3 National League and played in the Three Nations Tournament representing Welsh Universities. Today, Rebecca works as a secondary school PE teacher, coaching basketball across multiple age groups, while Bobby runs a successful video production company.
