The start of a new year is always a time for reflection and fresh goals, and as a grassroots basketball organisation, we couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come – or more motivated about what lies ahead. This year is set to be one of our biggest and most impactful yet, both on and off the court.

Over the past year, Young Ballerz Basketball has continued to grow as a trusted name in children’s basketball coaching across the UK. Every week, we welcome more families into our sessions, introducing basketball to children aged 3–14 in a fun, inclusive and confidence-building environment. Our focus has always been on developing skills, teamwork and a love for the game, and that mission remains at the heart of everything we do as we move forward.

Looking ahead, this year represents an exciting new chapter for Young Ballerz Basketball as we continue to expand through franchising. Our franchise programme is designed to bring high-quality grassroots basketball coaching into even more communities across the UK. By working with passionate local franchise partners, we are able to reach new towns, new schools and new sports centres, giving more children the opportunity to play basketball who may not otherwise have access to structured coaching.

Franchising is a huge part of our growth strategy, and this year will see Young Ballerz Basketball expand into more regions than ever before. Each new franchise is built on the same strong foundations – professional coaching standards, safeguarding-first policies, structured session plans and a recognisable, trusted brand. This means families can expect the same high-quality basketball experience wherever they attend a Young Ballerz session, while local communities benefit from reliable, well-run children’s sports provision.

As our footprint grows, so does our impact. Basketball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, and we are proud to play a role in developing the next generation of players by focusing on early engagement. From our Minis sessions for ages 3–5, right through to our older age groups, we are committed to helping children build confidence, improve coordination and develop a lifelong love of physical activity. The new year brings fresh opportunities to refine our programmes, introduce new ideas and continue raising the standard of grassroots basketball coaching.
